SORCERESS plays in her sets a range of beats, featuring styles such as progressive/tech house, chillout electronica and just damn good techno……….(soulful & uplifting). Production wise is producing a melodic deep tech house style with her Sorceress & Marta Kodo project. A sound she describes as tribal & driving with its rhythm components, yet melodic, dreamy & in the moment with its more deep/tech house elements. With her roots mainly seeded in electronic band influences from the early 80’s/90’s, there will often be the recognizable sounds of her analogue swedish nord & Juno 106 heard throughout her production, fused with newer progressive rhythms. With European artist influences across her mixes be sure to hear plenty of intricate bass lines, clicky rhythms, & innovative sequences creating an up beat progressive flow throughout her sets.

SORCERESS’s music takes you on a journey designed to bring the dance floor to new levels, as she glides & weaves her well recognized magic via her up tempo grooves, & inspiring set designs nowadays including both her own production pieces & of those that she admires.

With well over a decade of performing, getting her first decks in year 2000 & really making a mark with her sound over the years, SORCERESS was crowned winner of the 2011 Australian Pioneer Pro Dj Search. Prior to the EDM boom in Melbourne though, she began her music journey back in the early 90’s with her guitar & in 1998 as a music promoter hosting a number of electronic band events, of which then led to the organization of the event Arcadia (2002), attracting over 1,000 people in the Victorian rainforest. Akasha, a popular progressive styled electronic music festival then followed in 2006 & 2007. Her love for beats continued on to Thailand in 2012 as a main act for the Half Moon Festival, as well as various other bookings around Australia & overseas including The Ark Bar Samui, Europe’s Kazantip, the 2012 Solar Eclipse & an epic opening set at Rainbow Serpent Festival in 2014.

Over the past decade Sorceress has supported well-known artists from across the globe including old school techno godfathers like Peter Juergens & progressive trance gurus like Atmos, as well as playing along side countless other internationals at the many festivals/clubs where she’s played. With massive local support it was no surprise that The SORCERESS was asked to perform the honorable warm up set for current techno giants Dosem, Christian Smith & Wehbba at one of Australia’s biggest outdoor festivals: Maitreya.

Other highlights over the years have included a top position in EMI’s ‘She Can Dj’ comp in 2011 & massive performances at some of Australia’s most respected festivals such as: Wide Open Space Festival, Earthfreq, Southern Oracle, Future Music Festival, Subsonic Music Festival, Maitreya, Akasha, Ostara, Myan Prophecy, Spiral Harmonics, Deliverance, Earthdance, Strawberry Fields, Dark Forest, Harmonize, Fractangular, Manifest, Rainbow Serpent & Winter Solstice.
